Story Quilt Workshop

What are some of your favorite memories or places? Maybe you have a family story you’ve told over and over again, or a dream for something you hope to happen in the future? Story quilts have traditionally been used to illustrate personal, historical, and collective narratives. In this 2-hour workshop, children in grades K-8, and their caregivers, are invited to make a story quilt using fabric collage methods, while learning about the history of story quilts. No previous experience is necessary. All cloth and materials will be provided.

(Children are welcome to bring fabric scraps or old clothes if they’d like to transform their own materials into their stories.)

Tickets available via Eventbrite
